Okay all you chocolate lovers, I know you’re out there and today’s post is just for you…Today is National Chocolate Cake Day! I know, right?
Where do these ridiculous national food holidays come from? Who knows. I mean, I tried to find out for you guys, but no one really knows who decided January 27 would be National Chocolate Cake Day…And really, who cares?
So, today I am going to share one of my favorite cake recipes with you. This chocolate cake was probably the second cake I ever made and it has taken me through so many birthday and dinner parties.
Sour Cream Chocolate Bundt Cake
1 box chocolate cake mix (I prefer Betty Crocker Devils Food. However, in this case I went with more of a milk chocolate version.)
1 small package instant chocolate pudding
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup oil
1 cup sour cream
Preheat oven to 350. Mix dry ingredients. Slowly beat in wet ingredients. Pour batter into greased and floured bundt
pan. Mix in chocolate chips (I usually use 1/3 to 1/2 bag of chocolate chips). Cook in oven for one hour.
So one of the things I like most about this cake is its versatility. You can top it off with ganache, powdered sugar, chocolate and fruit…
It can be fancy or more casual…
But best of all, it is heavenly, chocolately goodness.
Enjoy National Chocolate Cake Day!
