My dearest friend in the world is from Finland. Growing up, that alone was a romantic thought. She often mentioned the advent calendars she remembered from her childhood. I am not going to lie. I am excited to celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day this coming Sunday, September 19, in part because it allows me to do a little early Halloween decorating!
