Spooky Halloween Wreath

Spooky Halloween Wreath
Hi friends! I am sharing a tutorial for my new SPOOKY Halloween wreath over on the SNAP! site today. I am really please with how it turned out and knowing me as you do now, you’ll understand that the best part was the wreath only took half hour! It was also pretty inexpensive – I had everything except for the skulls already on hand. Even if I had to go purchase everything, I think this...

How Early is Too Early?

How Early is Too Early?
If you follow me on Facebook, you might know that I’ve been working on a project that involves this semi-horrible, thrifted, two foot wedding candelabra: You might also know that this project is part of a series of things I’ve been working on for Halloween…Yes, you heard me right, Halloween. I’ve actually been collecting things (like my candelabra) since late July. I felt really...

From the Patch to Your Porch: How to pick the perfect pumpkin

From the Patch to Your Porch: How to pick the perfect pumpkin
One of my favorite Halloween traditions, is visiting the pumpkin patch. It’s a sign that autumn has arrived and more than that, it’s where you can get your trick-or-treat on! Sure, it’s easy to run to the grocer and grab a pumpkin on the go, but where is the fun in that? At the pumpkin patch you’ll find all sorts – Cinderella’s, Jack-O-Lanterns, short ones, tall ones, flat ones, fat ones… Each...

Celebrating the Great Pumpkin

What a great show?! The kids quote lines from the flick clear through early November. Here’s one of our favorite scenes. It always solicits zillions of giggles. Of...

National Pizza Month: Halloween monster pizza

National Pizza Month: Halloween monster pizza
Did you know that October is National Pizza Month? It’s true!?! And, with three boys, any sort of celebration that involves pizza is a pretty popular one…I think we’ve tried every commercial brand of pizza known to man. We aren’t fans of the frozen store pizza’s, but the kids are continually adjusting their “top ten” types of pizza. I am happy to report they’ve added a new favorite...

Inexpensive Ways to Decorate for Halloween

Inexpensive Ways to Decorate for Halloween
Halloween is second only to Christmas for parties, celebrating and decorating. This year, the National Retail Foundation has suggested that this year’s expenditures for the holiday will be up about 17 percent to $5.8 billion. The average American family will spend more than $66 per person on costumes and decoration. What?!? $66 per person? That would give me a budget of more than $300 this year!...
