Friday favorites: Why hello old friend…

Years ago when I was just starting our in my career, I had the opportunity to work for an international company based in Provo, UT called Nu Skin.

What? You haven’t heard of them? Well, maybe it is because you don’t live in Provo, Tokyo, Seoul, Sydney or Accra, where they are well-known for their amazing products and, in many cases, their incredible generosity.

Imagine my surprise when I learned they were the headline sponsor for one of the most swagtastic, fancy parties at BlogHer ‘10?! What a great chance to reconnect with a company I haven’t work with the since they sponsored the 2002 Winter Olympics?!

The company has come a long way since I worked there. They’ve maintained some of my favorite product lines. (Love, love, love the incredibly cleansing mud mask…no kidding, it’s the best I’ve ever used.)

And they’ve developed some new ones…more on that later.

Nu Skin was generous enough to pamper a select group of bloggers in preparation for BlogHer ‘10 by providing the most incredible spa treatment in a suite at one of the most incredible boutique hotels in Manhattan, with a view of Central Park. (Seriously, does it get any better? Umm, I sat on the balcony and I think not!)

Check out the swanky lobby:

Not only that, but I walked away with a product I can’t wait to try! I mean seriously, I have heard wonders about this fancy little container of magic!!! I expect to look younger next week folks…This is one I am not sure I will be able to live without, even the packaging is pretty:

Tru Essence Ultra

Thank you Nu Skin for glamming me up and getting me ready for New York City! It was nice to reconnect with you old friend.

What beauty tips and products can you not live with out? I am dying to know.

* I recently attended the Girlfriend to Girlfriend/Nu Skin I Heart New York event in New York City. I received a bag that included Nu Skin’s Tru Essence product. This is not a review of the product, although I am excited to try it. All opinions expressed in this entry are mine alone, I was under no obligation to write about Girlfriend to Girlfriend or Nu Skin.

One of my favorite (cheap) skin care products is good old Witch Hazel. :)

Everytime I hear this story I sing "It's a Small World Afterall"… I blame Disneyland. I am so happy you came to the event… and that we spent so many fun days in New York. And that we are friends.
