I have a confession. I am addicted to (semi) true life…
Even as I type this post, my television is tuned to The Bachelor, the latest in a long line of so-called reality shows that I have started watching. (I totally blame this one on the fact that this season the show features a local Salt Lake City resident).
I am sucked in by the cliff hanger style previews. I’ve snickered at the ridiculous contestants (In this case, the girl from SLC. And dude, one of these girls is a funeral director -what?!). The tears, the drama, it’s like a train wreck and I just can’t stop watching…Please tell me I am not alone here???
So now that my deepest, darkest secret has been revealed, it shouldn’t be a surprise to learn that I truly enjoyed listening to Seth Aaron Henderson and Mondo Guerra of Project Runway fame last Thursday at Alt. And yet, it kinda was a surprise, because you know what? They were pretty true to their television personalities (very cool) and it sure didn’t seem like an act. In fact, I think I love Mondo even more!

I thought I would share a few of my favorite comments from the lunch:
“Fashion is a little ridiculous. Don’t look for trends, just wear what you love. And thrift.” Mondo
“A woman should always wear what she wants. A woman should never second guess herself.” Mondo
“A woman should always check herself before leaving the house. A woman should never wear Crocs.” Seth Aaron
“You can’t grow without criticism, but stay true to yourself.” Seth Aaron
“I am conscious that every day there is an opportunity. I want to be ready for it.” Seth Aaron
“One of the secrets of succeeding: After a big success you have to work harder than you ever have before.” Seth Aaron
Words of wisdom, right?
So friends, I have bared my soul. Now I ask you…What is your deepest, darkest secret? In absence of that? How about you just share your favorite reality show.
