Remembering September 11

“No just cause can be advanced by terrorists.”
Koffi Anan
I was working for the Salt Lake City 2002 Winter Olympics on September 11, 2001. I was on my way into the office when I heard the first plane hit the towers. By the time I reached the office, several telephone threats had been received in house. In less than a half hour the entire staff was sent home.
So, like many other Americans, I spent the day at home glued to my television set, watching in horror as news that still seemed unbelievable was being reported.
It’s a moment frozen in time. One nearly everyone remembers…what were you doing when you heard the news?
